The City Environment and Natural Resources Office are tasked as the leading department to implement the City’s Environmental Management Programs. It aims in strengthening the conservation, protection, and rehabilitation of the environment in both lowland and upland areas within the jurisdiction of Davao City. The major goals of the department are focused on Solid Waste Management; Pollution Control; Urban Forestry and Watershed Management; Beautification and Landscaping of Center and Pocket Islands, and Landmarks; and Development and Maintenance of Ecological Parks and Playgrounds as it contributes to the general well-being of the people.
This quarter, our office has provided programs to promote the conservation of our natural resources and these are the Informal Trainings conducted by the Natural Resources Operations Division, tree planting activities, Information and Education Campaign programs, and Caravan Day.
