The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) received an award from the Department of Environment and Natural Resource – Environmental Management Bureau XI last June 27, 2023, and it was given during the IEC Summit 2023 at the Ritz Hotel, Davao City. The award was given to the office for actively supporting and participating in the implementation of the plans and programs of the Davao River and Talomo River Water Quality Management Area, as well as actively supporting and participating in the implementation of plans and programs of the Davao City Airshed Governing Board.
Moreover, the City Government of Davao was also recognized for being the first Local Government Unit (LGU) in Region XI to have drafted a City Plan of Action for the Prevention, Reduction, and Management of Marine Litter (CPOA-ML).
The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) is grateful to be recognized and we reassure the residents of Davao City that we will continue to commit in protecting and preserving our environment and our natural resources for a brighter and greener community.
